Hello Arizona High School Seniors!
If you are passionate about an issue in your community and wish to express your opinions to Arizona's leaders and explain what you believe is the greatest Arizona challenge, here is your opportunity!
You can receive up to $1,500 for college for simply expressing your opinions in a well-thought out essay!
Applications are now being accepted for this prestigious Young Steward of Public Policy scholarship program. Morrison Institute wants to hear from high school seniors with creative ideas about and solutions to Arizona’s greatest challenges.
This program would like Arizona students to share their public policy ideas and promote “stewardship"-public leadership committed to helping Arizona.
The awards given are based on an essay that the student writes about a public issue of critical importance. These students are revealing their passion about and offering solutions on that issue to Arizona officials.
Applicants need to submit their essays (two-pages maximum; typed, double-spaced, 12-point type) along with the completed Young Steward Application Form. Download application here.
The application must be postmarked by March 31, 2009.
Your essays will be reviewed and awards will be determined by representatives from ASU, The Arizona Republic, Tucson Citizen, and Arizona’s public policy leadership.
This is an amazing opportunity for all high school seniors attending ASU after they graduate! All it takes is maybe an hour or two of your time and you could be the next one awarded the Young Stewart of Public Policy Scholarship!!!
